Katie I remember the first time I met you in Kinloss 1981, and the first words you said “ hello my name is Kate and it’s so lovely to meet you “ in the most beautiful lilting voice and a smile to melt your heart . As a new member and Canadian to the station she took me under her wing and led me through the “ does and don’t s “ as an exchange officers wife. She taught me so many things. We became fast friends and never tired of each others company. And although we have been separated by an ocean these many years , we have enjoyed lovely phone conversations. I will miss you my Katie. You were as a big sister to me. I love you. Be still now and rest in peace ❤️
